Let's just say I didn't look at the Ford Jaguar.

do people really consider the new MGs british?

Why not? it is a Jaguar, but better built. and probably more reliable.
And did I mention it was a JAGUAR WAGON.

Neither. I don't like the MG becuase of that bizzare styling and well the Jaggggggg has a V6.

Jag wagon isn't a manual so MG.

I honestly don't like them at all. They feel cheap, and It's still a glorified Ford Contour, no matter how many Jaguar badges are on it.

The Jag with the no cost option of a 5-speed manual. 30 extra horse on a detuned V8 isn't worth the extra money.

I think I'd prefer the MG over the Jag. Because RWD, V8 goodness.

No, really no, just no, also no, oh did I forget NO!
That recycled Chinese garbage should be crushed at Dover or at the very least don't put an MG badge on it we have plenty of other shit brands they could use instead.

Neither I'd prefer something a big more contemporary.

Arguably the ZT.

I would choose the MG, but I don't think the Jaaag deserves its bad reputation. Those who sit and complain about it being a Ford Contour have never driven one. I have driven a Ford Contour, and an X-Type, and they don't drive anything like each other.

Out of the two, the MG by far. My step-father had a Rover 75 which was a pleasant car however a V8 engine and the practicality of an estate car wins. Especially when it sounds like this.
I could never get bored listening to that.

It's not glorified Contour though. It's a glorified Ford Mondeo of a newer generation than the Mondeo the Contour was based on.

The MG, no contest. It looks better inside and out, has more power, and has a manual transmission.

But it was almost 25.000 euros more expensive..

No, but that isn't one of the new MGs.

When new, what about now? It's probably worth less.

From what I've seen, the MG, especially the 'performance' models hold their value pretty well for a dead brand.
